I am Donna McDonald, a mother of 2, a seasoned teacher and an enthusiast for all things learning.

I struggled to read as a child. I don’t think I knew it at the time, but it was inextricably linked to my self-worth. I felt that I wasn’t smart enough - constantly. When I learnt to read properly, I was 19 years old. And then, once I found out how to teach others to read, well, it’s safe to say that my soul called me to reach more people. I have taught for many years in the classroom, before stepping into literacy intervention at a school, and now, I bring Literacy Level Up for others that need support to learn! I use evidence-based (Science of Reading, anyone?) practices and fun, hands-on activities that engage young minds so that learning doesn’t feel laborious.
