Cancellation Policy

Tutoring Cancellation Policy

At Literacy Level Up, we are committed to providing high-quality, personalised support. In order to best serve all families and maintain our business operations, we have established the following cancellation policy:

1. General Policy

  • Notice Required: We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for all cancellations or rescheduling of tutoring sessions.

  • Late Cancellations: Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged in full and are not eligible for a refund or makeup, except in the case of emergencies (e.g., sudden illness, family emergency).

  • No-Shows: If a student does not attend a scheduled session and no prior notice is given, the session is forfeited and charged in full.

2. Rescheduling Sessions

  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be done with at least 24 hours' notice.

  • We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate rescheduling requests but cannot guarantee an alternative time.

3. Term Payments (Prepaid Packages)

  • Families who have paid for the term in advance are committing to a consistent schedule.

  • Missed sessions (with proper notice) may be rescheduled within the same term based on availability. Unused sessions do not roll over into the next term.

  • Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are not eligible for rescheduling or credit, even within a prepaid term.

  • In exceptional circumstances (e.g., extended illness), we will work with families to find a fair solution

4. Business Commitment

  • Our tutors reserve time exclusively for your child. Cancellations directly impact our scheduling and income, as we are unable to fill those slots on short notice.

  • This policy helps ensure that we can continue to offer reliable, consistent tutoring services to all families.

5. Tutor Cancellations

    1. If a tutor must cancel a session, we will offer either:

      • A rescheduled session, or

      • A credit toward your next invoice or term

We appreciate your understanding and partnership in supporting your child’s education. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
